Only One Year by Andrea Cheng

It is hard to imagine sending a small brother or sister to live so far away for a whole year. Why did Sharon's parent's do it?

What would be some of the advantages (for you, your parents & for the child) of sending your two year old brother or sister away?What would be the disavantages or the tings that you would miss?
